Female pattern baldness is the most common type of hair loss in women. It is a pattern of hair loss or Alopecia, caused by hormones, aging and genetics among several other factors. Unlike male-pattern baldness, female pattern baldness is an over-all thinning which maintains the normal hairline.
In general, Female Pattern Baldness occurs when your hair follicles shrink over time, in shorter and finer hair. Eventually, the follicles do not grow new hair. However, the follicles remain alive, which suggests that it is still possible to grow new hair.
The reasons behind Female Pattern Baldness could be related but are not limited to :
• Hormonal Changes
• Genetic or Family History of Baldness
